The Spalt-profi is a slitting and blanking machine for sheet metal. It is part of the “Profiline” range made by HERBURGER, designed specifically for efficient length and cross-cutting from coils to blanks.
Ideal for roofing, facade, and sheet metal manufacturers.
Herburger offers 3 different versions of this slitting machine; they all have the same cutting capacity.
The primary difference between the Spalt-Profi range is the level of automation.
- Spalt-Profi HS Advantage: The primary advantage of the HS model (“The Starter”) is simplicity, serving as a good starting unit, a reliable entry point into professional slitting with manual cross-cutting, keeping initial investment low.
- Spalt-Profi ES Advantage: The ES model (“Economy Model”) has an electric cross-cutting shear, which is CNC controlled for fast automated production and minimal interaction.
- Spalt-Profi TS Advantage: The TS model (“Business Model”) offers the highest level of customisation and automation potential, including professional features like an integrated Schroeder electric guillotine for cross-cuts and a wide array of options like levelling unit and reinforced shaft, making it ideal for high-volume, professional production environments requiring maximum efficiency and minimal manual input
Precision Slitting Modules
The standard HS model includes 3 pairs of slitting blades, while the ES and TS models include 4 pairs. These blades are manually adjustable for the desired width.
Cross-Cutting Modules
The HS model: Uses a manual hand shear for length cutting, which produces burr-free, smooth edges that do not require secondary finishing.
The ES model: Features a built-in electric automated shear, automating the process and increasing productivity compared to manual tools.
The TS model: Uses an integrated Guillotine shear for the most precise, heavy-duty cutting of sheet steel without warping, ideal for high-volume production. The blades are sharpened on their 4 sides so that they can be rotated without needing re-grinding for years
Optimised Material Handling
All models feature rubberised drive rollers to prevent marking on delicate surfaces.

The following extra equipment can be added to enhance machine performance:
