Details

The Aero-Timber is a robust, modular vacuum lifting device engineered by AERO-LIFT specifically for handling long and heavy wooden beams, planks and structural timber in industrial and workshop environments.

This system is ideally suited for transporting timber lengths up to around 13 m, including glulam, solid structural wood and rough-sawn beams, with load capacities typically ranging from about 300 kg up to 600 kg depending on the configuration.

Applications for the Aero-Timber

The vacuum lifter is used in conjunction with any lifting equipment and is ideal for applications such as:

  • Glued-Laminated Timber (Glulam): Handling exceptionally long beams up to 13 metres in length.
  • Solid Structural Timber: Moving heavy joists and load-bearing beams into place.
  • Rough-Sawn Beams: Lifting raw, unplaned wood that may have surface irregularities or cracks.
  • Designed for indoor use.

Features of the Aero-Basic

  • High process accuracy: thanks to the positioning aids on all suction plates when placing the vacuum lifter on the transport goods.

  • Optimised: Can handle beams with a minimum width of 8 cm due to a specially designed suction plate concept with three vacuum chambers.
  • Ergonomics: Thanks to the adjustable handle position (transversely and at the front).
  • Unedged wood: Its 3-chamber suction plates allow it to securely grip unedged wood or boards with core cracks without losing vacuum.
  • Durability: Built with a robust welded steel frame and hot-dip galvanised crossbars to ensure a long service life in demanding industrial conditions.
  • Ease of maintenance: The intelligent suction plate concept allows for “tool-free” seal replacements in seconds, significantly reducing downtime.

Core Technical Specifications

  • Load capacity: 600kg.
  • Suction plates: 2 to 4 plates, depending on the model.
  • Plate dimensions: 560 x 180mm.
  • Control handle length: Adjustable (refer to technical drawing “LG” measurement).
  • Construction: Robust welded steel frame with hot-dip galvanised crossbars.

Optional Accessories

  • Park & Move (-PR): Adds adjustable support feet and castors directly to the device, making it easier to transport and park the system when not in use.
  • Chain Hoist Connection (-CH): Replaces the standard CEE connector with a spiral cable and Harting connector to power the lifter directly from the hoist, keeping the workspace clear of cables.
  • Holder bag: A holder bag for the crane’s control bulb to be mounted on the lifting device.
  • Cable drum: 5m and 10m Cable drum for indoor use.
