MAXX Series Metal Sander

Houfek MAXX Series – Wide-Belt Sanders & Deburring Machines for Metal

The Houfek Maxx series sets a new standard in metal surface sanding, offering industrial-grade performance in a range of sizes to suit any workshop or production requirement.

Designed for processing metal workpieces to achieve precision finishing, calibrating, edge rounding, deburring, oxide skin removal, and surface preparation (e.g., laser-cut, water-jet cut, or punched parts)made of steel, stainless steel, aluminium and non-ferrous metals. These machines combine robust construction with versatility to handle a wide variety of materials and thicknesses.

Houfek’s MAXX series covers seven models (MAXX 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10W) that handle metal sanding from bench-top to heavy production.

The Maxx 2 is the entry-level industrial model, ideal for basic finishing and deburring tasks. Its compact footprint and straightforward configuration make it perfect for smaller workshops or operations with lower production demands. Larger Maxx models differ in sanding widths and sanding unit configurations (R, D, X), with models from Maxx 6 to 10W featuring fixed tables for stability. For specialised applications, Maxx 10W supports wet sanding for enhanced surface quality, resulting in an exceptionally smooth, uniform, and often mirror-like finish

The machine is customisable with a choice of working widths (400mm up to 1550mm), specific sanding units and optional extras to suit your application. In practice, this means you can configure the belt sander with different brush or roller units, a standard or vacuum / magnetic table, oil-mist or water filtration systems, and more. For example, the wet-version 10W includes a fully integrated water-cooling and filtration setup, while most models can be fitted with optional vacuum or magnetic tables for better workholding.

Manufactured in the Czech Republic since 1992, every MAXX features robust welded frames, high-quality European electrical components, and proven pneumatic and mechanical systems designed for continuous production use.

All models process material thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 160 mm and offer a constant pass-line height of 900 mm on fixed-table versions for easy in-line integration.
